Bio

Professor Alcinda Valda Allen-Goffe is a distinguished retired professional with a rich history in both secular and religious fields. She is an alumna of the College of Art Science and Technology and the VOTAM Theological Academy, where she later served as an adjunct professor for two years. Her commitment to education is evident in her passion for teaching, where she finds joy in sharing knowledge and learning from her students.
With a profound dedication to public service, Alcinda has been serving as a Justice of the Peace for Jamaica’s Kingston Chapter for seven years, demonstrating her commitment to justice and community welfare. Additionally, her spiritual journey has been deeply intertwined with her role at the Shiloh Apostolic Church, where she has been a dedicated member for 28 years. Her leadership within the church is further exemplified by her roles as a Deaconess for 10 years and a church board member for 12 years
Alcinda’s teaching philosophy is centered around active participation and open dialogue. She instructs courses such as Alter Work, encouraging students to engage actively, ask questions, and seek clarifications. Her ultimate goal is to empower her students to eventually teach the very subjects they learn under her guidance.

Her career is a testament to her dedication to education, justice, and ministry, leaving a lasting impact on every community she serves.
